At Caring Hands Autism Center, we've made ABA services more accessible to families by providing them in a setting they're most comfortable.
Two core services, one caring approach
We provide ABA services in the comfort of your home.
The home is where children spend most of their time. It is a safe, secure, and comfortable environment where children learn crucial daily living and developmental skills. Thus, it only makes sense that by having ABA services provided at home, parents of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can expect better outcomes in terms of their children's development. We are an authorized provider of the EIDBI benefit.
The Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI) benefit offers medically necessary services and support to people under the age of 21 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or related conditions.
The purpose of the EIDBI benefit is to:
- Educate, train, and support parents and families of people with ASD and related conditions.
- Promote people's independence and participation in family, school, and community life.
- Improve long-term outcomes and quality of life for people and their families.
Who is eligible
A person is eligible to receive EIDBI services if he or she meets all of the following criteria:
- Has autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or a related condition.
- Has had a comprehensive multidisciplinary evaluation (CMDE) that establishes his or her medical need for EIDBI services.
- Is enrolled in Medical Assistance (MA), MinnesotaCare, Minnesota Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act (TEFRA), or other qualifying health care programs.
- Is under age 21.

- Comprehensive multidisciplinary evaluation (CMDE)
- Individual treatment plan (ITP) development and progress monitoring
- Coordinated care conference
- Intervention — individual, group, and higher intensity
- Intervention observation and direction
- Family or caregiver training and counseling

- Travel time

Questions families ask us
What ages do you serve?
We serve clients aged 18 months to 21 years old. The EIDBI benefit itself covers people under age 21 with ASD or a related condition.
How much will this cost my family?
As a Minnesota DHS-enrolled EIDBI provider, families enrolled in Medical Assistance — including Straight MA and MA-TEFRA — can access our services with no out-of-pocket cost.
Do we need a diagnosis before contacting you?
To receive EIDBI services, a child needs a comprehensive multidisciplinary evaluation (CMDE) establishing medical need. If you're not there yet, contact us anyway — we'll help you understand the process and what comes next.
What if English isn't our first language?
Our team is multilingual and reflects the diverse communities we serve. All staff complete mandatory cultural responsiveness training, and we work with interpreters whenever a family needs one.
